Editorial policy
Clever Arts Journal aims to make clear, considered writing about creative work. We distinguish what can be observed from what is interpretation, and make the limits of a claim plain.
Accuracy and care
Writers and editors check names, dates, quotations and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. Interpretive claims are presented as readings rather than settled facts. Where evidence is incomplete or a point remains uncertain, we say so rather than filling the gap with confidence.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial relationships. We do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for payment, access or promotion. If a published piece contains a material error, readers can report it through the Contact page. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and material created with a partner are identified clearly as advertising or a partnership, so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. Some illustrations on the site may be AI-generated; when an illustration is AI-generated, it is labelled as such.
